STRAW Full MOvie (2025) Review
- 10/10Tyler Perry's Straw is an emotional knockout. It's a raw, honest look at how people carry silent pain until something small becomes the breaking point. Taraji P. Henson is phenomenal as always-her performance is layered and deeply moving. Sherri Shepherd is the real surprise here. She is absolutely amazing, bringing heart and depth that lingers long after the credits roll. This film reminds us that everyone's struggle looks different, and sometimes it only takes one moment to unravel it all. It has the heart and weight of an early 2000s classic. The only thing that keeps it from fully landing in that space is the cinematography. While it gets the job done, it doesn't elevate the story the way it could. Tyler has worked with this DP before, and I'd really like to see a stronger visual approach next time to match the caliber of the performances and script. Still, Straw is one of Perry's most honest and powerful films to date.
Great Acting, and
- 2/10This movie was an absolute trainwreck from start to finish. The plot was incoherent, filled with gaping holes and lazy twists that made no sense. The dialogue was cringeworthy, like it was written by someone who's never heard real people speak. The pacing dragged in all the wrong places, making it feel twice as long as it was. The characters were either clichés or completely unlikable, and the acting ranged from wooden to laughably over-the-top. Not even the soundtrack could save it. A frustrating, disappointing experience that I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Just awful, please don't waste your time!
Terrible acting and storyline
- 10/10I love a good psychological movie and this was one of the best ones I've watched In a while, defiantly recommend the watch.
Brilliant twist
The acting is great and the ending itself left me with goose bumps. That was a twist I didn't see coming that just hit me. It will pull at your heart strings and make you empathy for the lead actress through out the movie.
Tyler Perry is a great director who has made alot of great movies, this one is by far one of my favourites so far. The start is a little slow but it picked up quickly from there. I won't recon it but I defiantly recommend watching by with a buddy so you have some to talk about it to after lol, - src='//maideninfected.com/2e/6c/c1/2e6cc1b9eade8d891ce9c1f2585f44bc.js'>
