SPIDER MAN 2 Full Movie Review
Spider-Man 2 met my surpassed my expectations. Every scene was of Hollywood quality. (NO SPOILERS)
(Gameplay) is 9.7/10 they add many aspects such as a fully fledged out skill tree for both individual Miles and Peter and one combination tree. Here you can level up special abilities and some combos. The aerial combos are well diverse to make the game feel fresh. Not mention you have gadgets that you don’t have to pause time to switch but it’s seamless real time gameplay.
The gameplay is still good but with a feature similar to the LEGO games which allow you to switch but you can only switch to the character, should the story mission or side mission call for it. [5/10]
The story is so brilliant and Insominac has done a great job with deeper attachments in terms of emotions and character development. Peter reuniting with his best friend to honor their respective parents' legacy is such phenomenal. [9/10]
Venom starting off as a harmless exosuit to a sentient alien symbiote was amazing, having similar traits from Ultimate Venom, but the Symbiote Invasion is a perfect way to help dive into the reason Venom came to Earth other than becoming a villian like his Comic 616 variant. He straight up twists the host's desire and emotion to a very darker purpose, amplifying the anger was nothing I have ever seen. Yuri Lowenthal's anger impression is just so great and he is the voice actor for the PS5 Spider-Man. [10/10]
Miles' revenge was similar but we can actually feel Miles' inner demons and past seeking blood. The villians (like Tombstone, Mr Negative, Mysterio and Black Cat) getting a second chance is not bad, it helps me realize that, even if I made mistakes in my past, I can always find a way to be better and be good once more. [10/10]
Kraven was interesting. He captured the villians to battle them in order to see his own death, but he did it because his body was slowly crumbling due to a terminal illness. He didn't want to die as a man, but die honorably as a hunter. That was something I didnt expected but it was just good. [6/10]
Insomiac really did us good; they introduce Scream, Sandman, the Baxtor Building, Sanctum Sanctorum and Anti-Venom. They just keep making us wait for the surprise that could hit us with a anvil. [9/10]
Marvel Spider-Man 2 is a very amazing game with a total of 49/10. Keep doing what is best Insominac.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Spiderman 2 is simply spectacular. If you have played Spiderman (2018) and Miles Morales, this game is a must. Insomniac really nails this sequel.
The narrative in this game is definitely a lot less grounded than the first 2, it goes leaps and bounds, it is quite bombastic and wacky but there are also plenty of emotional moments. I think the character arcs of both our heroes and the villains were done really well. With Kraven being intimidating as an early villain and Venom was so threatening, i think they understood just how vicious and scary Venom really is.
All in all I think the story was satisfying and I was satisfied with where both Peter and Miles ended in this game.
I have to shoutout the side missions too. I feel like both Peter and Miles both have that 1 big side story arc and both were really great and compelling with Peter’s side adventure getting me excited for upcoming DLC or even teasing the next instalment?
Graphics are next level in this game with both main graphic options both including ray-tracing. The city is dense with cars and well populated, you can even see NPCs in buildings or doing activities like playing tennis on a rooftop. Insomniac hit it out of the park with this one. And fast travelling is just insane this game, you pick a place and not even 2 seconds you are there swinging already, its just so seamless. This game is truely a technical marvel.
Traversal is still really impressive and smooth. A Spiderman game’s traversal probably has to be the main thing you have to get right. They nailed it in the first game and they nail it here. It’s improved upon and still really fun. I will definitely keep this game installed just to swing around as Spiderman every now and then.
The combat was really fun, I think it is a lot more simple now but it is also a lot more action packed with the new abilities. They throw a lot more enemies at you this time around but the abilities to help you crowd control compensate this. They simplified the gadgets and I think it was a good move but I do miss some gadgets from the first game.
The only really minor downsides I had to this game was that I did run into a few minor glitches like enemies clipping into walls, audio bugs where sound or dialogue was not playing when it was meant to. And I still dont really enjoy playing as MJ, it is more bearable in this instalment but I really just want to play the Spidermen. I also think Miles is way too overpowered and I dont know what super villain they can throw at him next that I will feel he is truely challenged at this point in time, but we will see.
Please get this game, you wont regret it.
