The expectations and the bar for GoW Ragnarok was so high and almost impossible to reach because God Of War (2018) ended up being one of the greatest game of all time and sequels of projects historically ends up being a bit toned down. But its safe to say that they knocked the ball out of the park and gave this series a new height with this one. They did it so well. The story, graphics, game mechanics, dialogues, character development, shock value, sound designing, music production, twists n turns and so many more things makes this game truly the best god of war game of them all. Small things like devs having a humour and actually adding it to the game with clever dialogues by our characters is like the cherry on top we didn't even know we needed. Definitely has replay value.

100% recommended to every gamer, casual gamer and even a non-gamer. You can basically watch just the story parts without playing the actual game and you will still find it interesting, It's a movie. Even the side quests don't feel like side quests. They legit enhance a character and their respective background in such a brilliant way that you enjoy doing them. I like how they focused on other characters as well. They definitely needed some screen-time. From start to finish, this game will keep you locked in. The emotional roller-coaster will always be there because the writing is just marvelous. It had a perfect balance of comedic scenes as well. Just enough to give you a smile from time to time. Pacing of the game was well thought-out. Things such as comedic relief, quick puzzles, etc are purposely added to the game just to give you some time to slow down and process your goosebumps n take everything in for a while. It's genius. Music selection is insane. Big shout out to Santa Monica Studio. Two things I can't talk enough about with Ragnarok is the story and the music production. Honestly, this is the best story in any game and it is so much better than most of the popular shows and movies I've seen for the last 3 years or so. Music goes so hard that everytime you listen to it, You will get chills. I saved the theme song on my playlist. At this point, this is not just a game... This is pure art. A cinematic warfare. You need to experience both GoW 2018 and GoW Ragnarok to have this once in a lifetime of experience. One word to describe the God Of War: Ragnarok? = MASTERPIECE

I’m a casual gamer , if you’d asked me 13 years ago and I would have laughed because I was anything but casual . Now I’m an adult and have a career, family and bills . With that being said , I am not easily sold on purchasing games and giving my little free time to them . It’s far easier to play a few matches of whatever fps shooter and call it a night . Requires no thought . This is the first story driven game I’ve played in well over a year . It is truly a masterpiece. The visuals are good, the story is immersive and offers fantastic character development. A slew of characters to partner up with . The dialogue is A+, not just in the cut scenes but as you roam through a given level .

The characters often have conversations that deepen the lore, the development and sometimes goof off . The mechanics are great as well. Something is SO satisfying about comparing how lunky the chaos blades start out , to where they end up . The combat is so seamless and feels true to the GOW series , even the old ones . The new weapons are fun and though it doesn’t FORCE a them down your throat , there are times that you just use them and just might find they are entertaining, but it never takes the chaos blades from you . The upgrading is great . I find that the system is not overly confusing, there are plenty of options and possible okay styles to suit you . Atreus feels useful , and playing as him was a shocked me with how enjoyable it was . I can’t express enough how great this game is . As someone who played the first 3, and the newest two - the revamped versions are just unbeatable . It takes all the awesome concepts of the first games, and doubles down with a deeper plot with intense substance . The originals did that too , but it was often overshadowed with Kratos just being a dick - I get it that’s who he was but it did get old . Get this game - you will not regret it . Just an absolute joy from start to finish
