I love this series so much. The original Daredevil series was amazing and this continuation was scaring me before it came out whether it would uphold the same brilliance but in a time where Marvel hasn't been pleasing me lately, Daredevil: Born Again has hooked me onto the engaging storyline of Matt Murdock once more. So far (8 episodes of watching), the energy of each episode is captivating and it's succeeded in delivering that perfect blend of serious tone with dashes of comedy that are refreshing but not taking over and not forced like many Marvel movies have been lately. Of course it's much more serious in this continuation due to certain events that take place very early on and I'm all for this honestly. The music is absolutely mind blowing, an undeniably successful rework of the original for which I am again pleased that they didn't completely replace but instead reworked it. The characters and their stories being kept consistent to from the original series is again something that further strengthens this show. Excellent Job and thanks for not over mcu'ing this beautiful tv series and it's characters just to appease to larger crowd. The tone of the Netflix defenders' individual series (Daredevil, punisher, defenders, jessica jones, iron fist, luke cage) was very powerful (especially for Daredevil which imo was the best one) so staying true to this format has made me very happy as a long time fan of the series.

Fantastic show incredible beginning first episode alone felt like a feature length movie. Does so much more than Disney has done in a long while with it's mature themes of the impact violence has on people. And the different ways people's lives are destroyed by violent action and how they seek to cope with it. Daredevil in kingpin both fantastically acted are a mirror to each other with their backstories and how they've gained strength through violence but are trying to have a different life. The show starts with them being drawn back towards each other almost by gravity. I also want to shout out the cinematography the fight scenes have incredible cinematography with echoes of the first season's hallway fight. They have great pacing as well with slowed down moments of combatants just walking towards each other downstairs hallways onto roofs and then very quick moments with higher budget CGI than the show had previously. Love Daredevil Charlie Cox does a fantastic job as Daredevil. Can't wait to see what comes next Frank Miller's run was my favorite and I'm hoping that this will do justice to its namesake, but so far off to a great start. More than any other Disney show or movie I've seen in a few years.

Each confrontation is laced with high stakes, reflecting the show's commitment to realism and intensity. This unflinching approach to violence sets it apart from other Marvel offerings, providing a refreshing departure from more sanitized portrayals of heroism.

The pervasive darkness of the narrative is both literal and metaphorical, with the show's tone and visual style immersing viewers in the gritty underbelly of New York City. The exploration of moral ambiguity and the fine line between hero and villain adds layers to the storytelling, keeping audiences engaged and contemplative. The series doesn't shy away from the complexities of its characters, instead delving deep into their psyches to reveal their vulnerabilities and motivations. While Daredevil: Born Again is a triumphant return that honors its predecessor, it does encounter occasional pacing issues and some rushed storylines. However, these minor flaws are overshadowed by the stellar performances, intense action, and profound thematic depth.
